Lot 159. Afternoon in Autumn. Oil on canvas, signed in the lower left corner, inscribed and dated 1922, framed in an ornate gilt frame with carved corners, approx. 26" x 32" canvas size, overall with frame 33-1/2" x 39-1/2". A very nicely painted rural scene with a country lane in dappled sunlight in the foreground, beyond which is seen a pond and a farm in the far distance.
