Lot 170. Still life. Oil on canvas, signed in the lower left corner, on keyed stretchers, framed in a new ornate gold-tone frame, 20" x 24" canvas size, with frame overall 24" x 28". This is a lovely example of the Post-Impressionist composition, painted with vigorous strokes in a very decorative tonal palette. The beautiful young woman with a contemplative expression is particularly attractive.
