Lot 172. "Copy of a Botticelli", A representation of a fresco by Botticelli. Oil on canvas, made to represent a fresco including the damages, not framed, 51" x 64". Verso with Canton Art Institute tag naming artists and donor, Mr. John Hemming Fry, also inscribed on the frame. Fry studied in St. Louis at Washington University's School of Fine Arts under John H. Fry whom she married in 1891. She was a member of the Nat'l Ass'n of Women Painters & Sculptors; Society of NY Artists. Exh: SFAA, 1890; St Louis Museum, 1892; Paris Salons.
