Lot 191. Interior scene with a family at dinner. Oil on canvas, signed in the lower left corner, framed in a gilt frame with a linen liner, 20" x 24" canvas size, with frame overall 27" x 31". This is a scene depicting an earlier era than the time in which it is painted. A family in 19th Century garb is seated at table under a lantern while a serving person stands in the shadows. The style in which it is painted is clearly mid-20th Century.
