Antonio De Vity (Italian 1901- 1980)September 2003 Fine Art and Antiques Auction Lot 62. Two Parisian street scenes titled "Paris", oil on canvas, image size apprx 9-1/2" x 7", framed with beige/green velvet border, frame size apprx 14" x 12", signed lower right. Thick pigments on surface. Biography tag and The W.J. Burger Co. tag on verso. He was born in Reggio-Calbria, southern Italy. He lived in Naples and later moved to Rome where he was taught by Giacomo Balla. He spent much time in Paris and was heavily influenced by the Impressionist era.
