Lot 47. Harbor scene by naive artist Anna Fell Rothstein. This scene depicts piers and houses against a mountainous background. Thick impasto of paint in bright shades of green and blue is inherent to this painting. Signed "Anna Fell Rothstein" in lower left corner. Oil on board image measures apprx 27" x 41-1/2". Framed, the painting measures apprx 31" x 45". Painting features a green wood frame with some remnants of gold paint. Other works by Rothstein have been exhibited at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio.
