Lot 28. "Daydreaming". Oil on wood panel, signed in the lower left, framed in am ornate gold metal leafed frame with a tan velvet liner, panel size approx. 21-1/2" x 17-1/2", with framing overall approx. 30" x 25-3/4". There is an inscription in French authenticating the painting hand lettered on a painted patch on verso, signed and dated 1864. The pretty child with his mother and father fishing in a stream are beautifully executed. Prov: Rowena Paton Manuel, passed down in the family.
