Lot 23. A fine English paper mache table snuff box, painted with a portrait of George IV by Samuel Raven, c. 1822. Portrait is oil on paper mache. Samuel Raven was an English Portrait Artist patronized by H. R. H. The Duke of Sussex and Prince Leopold. The artist's work can be found in London's National Portrait Gallery. Box measures 5" diameter, 1-1/2" tall.
