Lot 29. "Lady Reading A Book". Oil on wood panel, signed lower right. Panel measures apprx 12-1/2" x 15-1/2", overall with frame apprx 23"x 26". Framers tag on verso. Mme Enault studied with A. Tissier and F. Willems. In 1876 she debuted at the Paris Salon with "L'invocation de la mariee". She was a member of the Society of French Artists where she received an honorable mention in 1887 and a bronze award in 1889.
