Lot 45. Winter scene of trail and trees, house visable in the distance, oil on canvas, signed lower right, thickly painted, image size apprx 19-1/2" x 15-1/2", frame size apprx 27" x 22". Known for his regional landscapes, Frederick Swedlun created the pseudonym Ernest Fredericks after he immigrated to Chicago. He moved to Eureka Springs, Arkansas where and he and his father taught painting.
