Lot 28. Untitled boat scene. Oil on canvas, signed "H. Melville Fisher" on the lower left corner, in a gilt frame. Image measures approx. 25-1/2" x 21-1/2", framed overall approx. 34" x 30". Hugo Melville Fisher was the son of artist Hugo Fisher, from whom he took his first training in art. Later Fisher studied in Paris, and traveled extensively before resettling in California.
