Lot 48. Interior church view. Oil on canvas, signed lower right. Over wood keyed stretcher. Canvas apprx 24" x 30", in commercial gold frame apprx 29" x 34-3/4". Peczely studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest and then worked as an art teacher. He was painting regularly from 1924 on, however working with graphics and illustrations as well. He regularly exhibited in the Art Gallery and the National Salon, and was one of the founders of the Artists' Colony at Gyula.
