Lot 59. Portrait of a Serbian Woman in Costume. Oil on canvas, framed, signed lower right and signed again on verso. Portrait depicts solemn woman from a 3/4 view. Her costume is brightly colored and adorned with various beaded elements. Background is pea yellow/green. Measures apprx 27-1/2"H x 21-1/4"W. In a white wood frame, entire item measures apprx 33-1/2"H x 27-1/2"W. Sandor Vago was an Ohio artist of Hungarian descent, known principally for his portraits.
