Lot 24. Portrait. Oil on canvas, not signed, framed. Label on back provides formal information about Nattier and reads "...A famous and popular portrait painter of men and women of the French aristocracy of his day, his subjects being confined especially to women and members of the royal family...Sophie de France was a daughter of Louis XV and Marie Leszczynska". This lovely portrait is a 19th Century copy. Canvas measures 29-1/2" x 24". Frame is carved wood with bronze paint finish. Overall measure is 34-1/4" x 29".
