Lot 61. Parisian Scene. Oil paint on porcelain, framed. Scene depicts daily life on Boulevard Haussmann in old Paris. Signed "Ch. Nicoise", lower left corner. Painting measures apprx 7-1/2" x 7-1/2". It is nestled in a painted gold wood frame which bears a small plaque with the artist's name. Both painting and gold frame are encased in a black shadowbox frame with inward sloping walls. With frame piece measures 13" square. Verso is felt lined and on hanging wire is a small paper with information about the artist and his career. Probably from 1950's.
