Lot 62. "Springtime in the Jungle". Oil on canvas, signed lower right and dated 1918. Scene depicts a female nude with a long black braid frolicking with various wild creatures: deer, leopards and bat. They are set against a black night sky and in a forest of stark, stylized trees. Due to large size and dramatic subject, probably originally intended for a theater or a restaurant. Signed and dated on lower right corner. With thin wooden frame entire item measures apprx 40-1/2" X 75-1/2".
