Lot 76. "Les Varans" (The Dragons). Oil on canvas, framed. Surrealistic scene depicts a nude woman surrounded by green Monitor lizards with spiky rocks looming in the background. Painting is signed and dated at lower right corner. Canvas measures apprx 28-3/4" x 45-1/2". On verso numerous tags including: "Surrealistes et Symbolistes", "3042" and "Salon des Independants 1964". Frame is gold painted decorative wood. Overall piece measures apprx 33-3/4" x 50-1/2".
