Lot 37. "Barges sur la Seinne". Oil on canvas, signed lower right, circa mid 20th Century. Scene depicts three boats at rest on the Paris river. Painting style is sightly naive and background palette is soft with warm accents. Paint applied with palette kinfe. Jean Cotell authenticated this piece in the early 1990's. Maclet is best known for his bright Parisian scenes. Measures apprx 21"H x 25-1/2"W. With gold colored frame, entire item measures apprx 26"H x 30-1/4"W.
