Lot 40. "The Back Street", oil on canvas, signed lower left. Southern landscape with brightly painted houses and figures with a large oak tree. Thickly painted and expressive. Canvas apprx 18" x 16-1/4", overall in gilt wood frame apprx 22-1/2"T x 21"W. Munger was born in Springfield, Massachusetts and lived for most of her productive years in Pass Christian, Mississippi, summering in Provincetown, Massachusetts. On display in the Pittsburgh PA gallery.
