Lot 86. A crisp and misty winter woodland scene. Oil on canvas, signed in the lower left corner and dated 1929, framed, 26" x 19" canvas size, with framing overall 29-1/4" x 22-3/4". A path has been plowed through the deep snow at the right of the composition, apparently by a sleigh or a cart, with footprints through the center. The barren mossy trees are snow covered and fade into the mists. Note the white highlighting on the signature appears to have been dusted with frost.
