A white marble bust of a toddler girl, on an oval self base embellished with relief carvings of toddlers in various postures and a scrolling architectural detail in the center, signed in the base "M. Kalish Sc", with a green felt protector glued to the bottom, 10-3/4"H x 10-1/2"W x 4-3/4"D. The subject is reputed to be the daughter of David Deitz, Kalish's friend and benefactor.

Lot 268. A painted plaster bust of David Deitz, in dark brown color pigments over the plaster to resemble bronze, signature incised into the upper part of the pedestal base "M. Kalish 1939", the life-size bust is atop a cube self-base with a plinth below, overall approx. 19-1/2"H x 6"W x 8"D.
