Cooper exhibited at the British Institution, 1833-59, the Royal Academy in 1833-1902 and was elected Associate Royal Academician in 1845 and Royal Academician in 1867.

Lot 13. "Resting Cows". Watercolor on paper, framed, image size apprx 8-1/2" x 11-1/2", 21.5 cm x 29 cm, signed lower left and dated. This painting was purchased in 1965 in Vienna from the Beracek Galleries and has been in private residence since.

Lot 23. Landscape with a Sheep and Cow. Oil on wood panel, signed in the lower left corner, panel size 17" x 12-1/4", with ornate carved leafed frame overall 22" x 17-1/2". There is an older label on the reverse of the panel from Charles Robertson & Company.
