Lot 135. "Evening Star". Oil on canvas, mounted down onto thick paperboard, signed in the lower right corner, framed in a period gilt frame, 9-3/4" x 8", with frame 16-3/4" x 14-3/4". The soft, dreamy allegorical figure stands atop a mountain, while a snow-capped peak is seen in the distance. The setting sun illuminates a billowing cloud surrounding the figure.
