Lot 141. French street scene. Oil on canvas, signed in the lower left corner and again on verso, framed in a modern ornate French style frame, 13" x 16" canvas size, with frame overall 20-1/4" x 23-1/4". This is a fresh, contemporary impressionistic-style scene in a European city; in the center of the composition is a church with an imposing spire. Herve's signature works were scenes throughout Paris.
