Lot 95. Cows and Milkmaid. Oil on canvas, signed lower right, framed in a gold metal leafed frame, canvas size 19" x 24", with frame overall approx. 23-1/2" x 29". A serene pastoral scene with two cows; one with a milkmaid seated near, in the late afternoo. Thickly painted in an early 20th Century, Impressionistic manner. The artist's name is inscribed on the stretchers, along with " Rode Koer 1921" and a second line which is illegible, in pencil.
