Lot 23. "Cowboy", oil on canvas 30" x 40", signed lower right. Viski was born in Szokolya, Hungary and studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under Tividar Zemplenyi. Viski began to exhibit his paintings in 1913. He painted mainly animals and was interested in the problems of motion and form as well as the color effects of open air light. His most frequent model was the horse.

Viski studied at the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Tivadar Zemplenyi. He made study tours to France and several towns of South America. He started exhibiting his paintings in about 1913. He painted mainly animals and was interested in the problems of motion and form as well as the color effects of outdoor light. His most frequent model was the horse.
