Lot 43. Landscape with a herd of sheep. Oil on canvas, signed in black pigment lower right. In a gild wood frame. Canvas measures approx. 16"H x 24"W, framed overall approx. 20" x 28". Charles Davidson specialized in watercolor pastoral scenes, especially with sheep, and seasonal landscapes. Exhibition venues where he participated included the Art Institute of Chicago and the National Academy of Design.
