Each one is hand colored and paper is adheared to mat board along top margin, not overmatted, framed.

Also known as "Taste a la Mode" done in 1746. Published in London, March 1st, 1808 by, Boydell and Company, and artist Samuel Phillips. Framed, image size apprx 20" x 17", plate size apprx 18" x 15". Hogarth's keen ability to accurately illustrate the social hypocrisies of his day made his moralizing works popular with the bourgeois audience for which he designed. They have retained their value as providing a taste of the social, political, and economic era they portray.
