Apprx 7" x 10" and signed in gold lower right. Fused glass was developed by Francis and Michael Higgins 53 years ago.
This process involves taking separate pieces of glass and literally molding them together. When the glass is fired, the glass sheets melt into the shape of the mold in which they were placed. Higgins glass can be found in the collections of major institutions, ranging from the Smithsonian to the Metropolitan, to London's Victoria and Albert Museum.
