Tiffany style shades attributed to a Duffner & Kimberly artisian, commissioned c. 1945. Shades are colored with reverse tones and have a Dragonfly border. Each shade is apprx 24" x 12-1/2", unsigned. Bronze bases are French 19th century and are styled as Neo-classical women with flowing garments, triangle shaped base with cherubs and faces. Bases also have the founder medallion of Collas and are apprx 37" tall. Previously owned by Zora Mitic Antiques.
The Duffner and Kimberly Co. proposed, in 1905, to compete with Tiffany Studios. Their ambition was to produce high-end mosaic glass lighting for the carriage trade.
