146. Dresden Tea Service
An outstanding hand painted porcelain service for six, set includes tea pot apprx 6", creamer apprx 4", sugar with lid apprx 4", six cups and saucers (cup apprx 2" and saucer appx 1" x 5-3/4". Marked on verso with blue paint "Dresden Germany" with emblem. Impressed with the numbers "560" and the letter "S" and a cartouche with a crown with the letters G(?) and H. Each item hand painted with a differnt scene from Greek mythology. (see details page for painting descriptions) Purchased by the current owner from Fordem Galleries, Cleveland Ohio.

148. European PorcelainTureen, 19th Century
Fine porcelain with glaze and decorated with gilt stencil and hand painted flowers. Pedestal footed base and two scrolled handles. Lid has acorn shape handle and is also hand decorated. Rims of both are not glazed. Porcelain allows light to shine through. Apprx 17" x 9" x 12". Verso impressed with a semi-circle with two lines.
