75. Hammered & Chased Communion Chalice
Greek lettering inscribed along the the gilt rim of the ceremonial chalice with lid. Overall, apprx 17" x 7" at base. Hammered and chased low grade silver/tin(?) Some details picked out in gilt. Decorated with angels and bearded holy men with a scroll. Base has two images of animals, a two-headed bird and an angel holding a book as well as the same bearded holy man holding a book. Tapered panel base decorated with flowers comprised of seven pieces. Center piece decorated with twelve glass gems. Dated on rim 1760.

Cast bronze court/garden lamp from India. Elephants in imperial stance holding a lofted gazebo with a hinged door. The roof edge lined with apearance of bells. In two parts. Very nice patina. Apprx 2'-5" high.

Embossed diecut tin, boy is in black shading with a black bucket that holds the matches. Apprx 6-1/4" x 3-1/4". The Dutch Boy was modeled after Michael E. Brady, who later became famous for his powerful political cartoons.

Louis Hottot worked with G. Leroux and is known for his sculptures of Arabs and Warriors. The cast metal sculpture depicts a Moor in standard attire for a warrior of the 19th Century.

Gilt bronze with hand painted porcelain panels. Face of clock has a lovely butterfly and raised oval cartouches with Roman numerals. Back of clock has glass panel over clockworks. The candelabra have three lights each and oval porcelain inserts. Clock apprx 16" x 9" x 6". Candelabra apprx 12". Clock works stamped J Feres & Co. medallion of honour.
