Black laquered set including sofa and four balloon-back parlour chairs. Each piece has brass beading down the front cabriole legs, around the back rests and around the front legs. Crests are ornately carved with flowers and berries. Each item also has a nice 2-3/4" x 2" oval insert of a courting couple on the crest.
