Old Babylonian, depicting two figures, one possibly the Goddess Ishtar wearing a tiered pleated long garment and a conical headdress. Both figures appear on a stone building or wall. Two holes on top. Apprx 4" x 2-1/2".

2. Cuneiform Tablet, C. 1860 B.C.
A baked grey tablet, with eighteen lines of old Babylonian cuneiform script. The text consists of a contract for the sale of a field, with seven witnesses named on the reverse. From Larsa in Southern Mesopotamia, apprx 2-3/8" x 1-5/8" x 3/4" ( 55mm x 37mm).

3. Sarcophagus Panel, Egyptian Late Period (664 - 50 B.C.)
A large gesso and wood panel fragement from an Egyptian sarcophagus decorated with remants of black, white, blue & red paint. Imagery includes two women in profile facing right separated by a vertical panel of hieroglyphic text. Two pierced holes at left and five dowls and/or holes and right. Apprx 36" x 8".

9. Roman Bronze Foot, C. 1st-3rd Century A.D.
A life size foot broken from a life size bronze statue of a male God or emperor. Five toes clearly modeled with the nails, intricate leather sandals with stylized details. The underside is hollow showing that the statue was probably seated. Apprx 6" x 11" x 4-1/4".

10. Pre Columbian Terracotta Vase
C. 500-800 A.D. Mayan terracotta vase, apprx 10-1/4" high x 5-1/4" d, scene of two seated men with elaborate head-dresses, circular forms of organic and serpentine nature, known as pseudoglyphs, elements having a generally glyphic shape but without meaning. Image in band of with white background with five black bands in Palace Style, overall painting apprx 8-1/2". Colors include white, rust, creme/yellow, lavender, overall stain finish, interior unfinished.
