211. "Rockingham" Cup and Saucer
Unsigned, attributed to "Rockingham". The form and technique is very like Sevres in the 18th Century manner, with a rich blue ground color and sophisticated gilding. Creamy white bone porcelain with a clear transparent glaze. Numerous oval, gilt cartouches trimmed with gilt flowers and acorn clusters around delicately painted English landscapes. Approx diameter of cup 4-1/4", height 3-1/4". Plate diameter apprx 7".

"Royal Lily" pattern on a hard paste porcelain with crisp transfer pattern in blue. Gilt bands and red/brown rim. Blue underglaze mark, apprx 1862-1891. Apprx 10-1/2" in diameter. Two plates marked with 9624.

213. Derby Cup and Saucer, C. 1795
Derby porcelain coffee cup and saucer with delicate sprig decoration in blue, green and puce enamel and gilding. Pattern #129 (Derby Porcelain by F. Brayshaw Gilhespy, London, 1965). Saucer is apprx 5-1/4" diameter. Cup is apprx 3-1/4" diameter. The gilder's mark, #17 is to the side. The saucer has an impressed "C" near the rim. Both have a puce mark of either William Duesbury II or Duesbury and Kean.

214. A Ludwigsburg Chinoiserie Chocolate Cup, Cover, and Stand, Germany, C. 1795
Painted in polychrome enamels with scenes of courting oriental figures, enclosed within a gilt lavender and green frame. The details, rims, handles, and floral knop picked out in gilt, the cup and saucer painted in iron red with crowned interlocking "C"s. Cup: 4-3/4" high, 3-3/4" deep. Saucer: 6-1/4" diameter.

215. Worcester Cup and Saucer, C. 1783-1792
Worcester porcelain Flight period. Reeding on cup fades towards the base, purple and gold floral designs. Signed "Flight" on verso of saucer, approx. 5-1/2" diameter. Cup approx. 2-1/2" in diameter and height.
Similar cup and saucer displayed at the Dyson-Perrins Museum of Worcester Porcelain, in Worcester, England.

217. Two Davenport Serving Pieces, C. 1870-1887
"Davenport Longport Staffordshire", both footed with gold details and floral accents with turquoise and gilt details and center medallion. Numbered on bottom, 308 and over glaze purple stamp. Approx. size 8" x 11" and 9-1/2" x 10-1/2". The mark is illustrated in Geoffrey Godden's "Illustrated Encyclopedia of British Marks" (New York, 1966) as being in use from 1870-1887.
