Unsigned, attributed to "Rockingham". The form and technique is very like Sevres in the 18th Century manner, with a rich blue ground color and sophisticated gilding. Creamy white bone porcelain with a clear transparent glaze. Numerous oval, gilt cartouches trimmed with gilt flowers and acorn clusters around delicately painted English landscapes. Approx diameter of cup 4-1/4", height 3-1/4". Plate diameter apprx 7". 100/200 Sold $201.25 back to catalog |
