213. Derby Cup and Saucer, C. 1795

Derby porcelain coffee cup and saucer with delicate sprig decoration in blue, green and puce enamel and gilding. Pattern #129 (Derby Porcelain by F. Brayshaw Gilhespy, London, 1965). Saucer is apprx 5-1/4" diameter. Cup is apprx 3-1/4" diameter. The gilder's mark, #17 is to the side. The saucer has an impressed "C" near the rim. Both have a puce mark of either William Duesbury II or Duesbury and Kean.
