"Mockery", etching and aquatint printed in colors with handcoloring, 1928, signed in graphite lower right. Lower left in graphite "E 54", to the right of Louis Icart drystamp. Offered in original frame, under rolled glass. Apprx 16-1/4" x 19-1/4" platemark, overall in frame apprx 24" x 27". Louis Icart is known for his depiction of women during the art deco period. His techniques include etching and dry point with hand coloring. He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books, beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs as well as printed ephemera and works on canvas with oil. 1,000/1,500 Sold $1,380.00 back to catalog |
