Folio (approx. 20" tall). Limited 1/166 copies, quarter morocco over paper boards, original leaf in linen portfolio, both housed in linen clamshell box. This deluxe production contains one leaf from the 1462 Fust and Schoeffer Bible, the first dated bible and the first bible with a Colophon. Printed on the paper left over from the stock for the famous Gutenberg bible, won from Gutenberg in a lawsuit won by Fust and Schoeffer, 15 7/8 x 11 5/8 inches. Printed on paper; gothic (5:118G), double column, 48 lines. Initial and capital strokes added by hand in red and blue; headline on both sides added by hand in alternate red and blue letters.
