Porcelain musician with dog and two hinged pots decorated with floral vignettes. Attached to wood base with tripod feet, apprx 10" - 11 ", figure stands 5-1/2" from base. Blue Meissen style mark on verso of figure.

Adams Biscuit Barrel

492. Adams Biscuit Barrel


Adams china was made by William Adams and Sons of Staffordshire, England. The firm was founded in 1769 and became part of the Wedgwood Group in 1966. Marked Adams and England on verso. Cobalt blue biscuit barrel, with silver handle and silver lid. Scenes of Arcadia in white. Measures apprx 5-1/2" x 6". Biscuit barrels were used in Victorian England and later in America to keep biscuits fresh and flavorful for the meal.

Royal Doulton Burslem vase. Measures apprx 7" x 4". Marked with Royal Doulton seal "6671 BW" on verso. Lovely royal blue glaze with white lotus blossoms along upper rim. Green glaze on upper lip.

Pair of white bisque dogs with gloss finish facing opposite directions, hollow form, each holding a basket of three gold pigs. Hand painted, apprx 6-1/2", impressed numbers "2502" and "25/12".

English Porcelain Teapot

496. English Porcelain Teapot


Porcelain teapot measuring apprx 9-1/2" x 11". Scalloped handle and spout. Teapot decorated with an ornate blue floral transfer design. The lid has been repaired and traces of glue are apparent. The lid has also been decorated to look like a flower bud. Teapot is unmarked. The blue and white style of porcelain is known as Kraak. Base is octagonal.

Large Flow Blue water pitcher with deep blue transfer fired pattern of flowers with floral accents at handle, spout, interior of spout and base, border detail in porcelain at base of neck, handle and base. Apprx 12-1/2" tall. W.H. Grindley & Company England underlay trademark on bottom with a number 26 and a number 3 stamped twice. The W.H. Grindley & Co mark was used from 1891 to 1914.

498. Haviland Hand Painted Shell Plates, circa Early 20th Century


Set of 8 Haviland luncheon plates. "Haviland, France" green stamp on verso. This mark was used from 1893 to 1930 and 1941 to 1962. Apprx 8-1/4" in diameter. Each plate is delicately hand painted with a seashell and creature motif including seaweed and water reflections. Raised hightlights in white. The scalloped edges have a gilt stenciling in a foliate design. Founded in 1855 in Limoges, France, the Haviland porcelain company reached its artistic peak in the 1870's and the 1880's.

Pair of dragon-handled ewers in the style of Royal Worcester, gold rim spout (wearing thin), matte glaze with cream colored base, pink 'cloud' pattern around neck detailed with gold dots, globular base features a polychrome enamel parrot in handpainted colors, with apple blossom stencil design in gold, stands apprx 8", minimal crazing throughout, visable caselines, verso has standard glaze with crazing, stamped numbers and slight discoloration.

Box has a high relief of a lady's figure hugging a calf or goat, hand colored, box sits on four 'leaf' feet, lid does not fit snugly, small crack in interior of box, apprx 2" x 3". Glazed for the most part, line indentations around box. Cupid figurine by Saxony, holding flowers. Has been repaired at knee of left leg, chip at base, stamp on bottom, apprx 3".
