Set of Moroccan inlaid mother-of-pearl wooden tables measures apprx 13-1/2" x 20-1/4". Beautiful geometric designs are highlighted by inlaid mother-of-pearl. These handmade tables feature hexagon shaped tops, three legs and complimentary hexagonal designs throughout.

Beautiful wooden box inlaid with mother-of-pearl. This box measures apprx 5-1/2" x 4-1/2" x 2". The modern Moroccans are famous for their beautiful inlay work. Using tiny pieces of mother-of-pearl, shell, wood, sometimes even plastic, stunning complex geometric designs are created entirely by hand on boxes. This box features a geometric design of stars and hexagons and a hexagonal design on the interior of the box as well.

"Isis", #5155 aluminum basket with handle. Nouveau styled handle over a cast belt rim decorated with bay leaves and berries. Body is tapering and elegant. Verso stamped with marks "ISIS", 5155 and three emblems, including a Wiener Werkstatte stamp. Apprx 8"H x 3-1/2"D. The Wiener Werkstaate studio was founded in Vienna in 1903 by Joseph Hoffmann in conjunction with Koloman Moser and others. The workshop concentrated in the English Arts & Crafts movement with attention to form and material. This piece is a fine example of the period.

321. Vintage Carved Cameo Seashell, Late 19th Century


This is an extraordinary piece. Italian, hand carved shell features a cameo of a very well dressed lady. Ornate carving pays minute attention to small details such as the grapes and leaves in her hair, the double strand of pearls around her neck and the hoop earrings. The shell is a large white conch measuring apprx 6-1/2" x 8" and the cameo measures apprx 4" x 5". This piece is very unique, and has no cracks or chips to the surface of the shell. Items such as this were often placed on mantlepieces, bookcases or in fine jewelry shops.
