Letter stating history attached, printed on watermarked paper reads: "Anne Maria Daughaday was born on her father's plantation in Harford county Maryland in 1823 a preacher by the name of Riggs, and died in 1856." Daughaday was the name of a well known Maryland family whose plantation had been in their possession for many generations.
