Three steel plate etching & engravings from "The Four Stages of Cruelty." Lot includes: First Stage of Cruelty, Second Stage of Cruelty and Cruelty in Perfection. Designed by William Hogarth and Published according to Act of Parliament Feb. 1, 1751. Plate size apprx 15" x 13", paper size apprx 26" x 20". These prints narrate the fictional life of criminal Tom Nero in specific sites in London.
