503. Kingfisher Rookwood Bookends, circa 1923

These Rookwood bookends were designed by William McDonald in 1923. Set of two Kingfisher birds with a matte green glaze are filled with cement. Each bookend measures apprx 5" x 5-1/2" These pieces are in good condition, with a minute crack on the end of one bird's tail. Marked with Rookwood insignia as well as artist identification and numbered 2657 on verso.
