251. International Silver "Royal Danish" Sterling Silver Service, C. 1939

Several assorted pieces of sterling silver from International Silver in the Royal Danish pattern designed in 1939. Pieces include two dinner knives measuring apprx 9", four knives measuring apprx 10", four forks measuring approx 8", three forks measuring 6-1/2", one dinner fork, one 6" butter knife, one 6-3/4" teaspoon, one 6" tablespoon, a small rounded 5" serving spoon and a 5-1/2" fish fork. Apprx 37 Troy oz.

The Royal Danish design is ornate with scrollwork and horizontal lines around the handles of the flatware. International Silver was incorporated in 1898 by a number of independant silversmiths whose family backgrounds began in early colonial times. It has become one of the world's largest manufacturers of silverware with a quality of silver that is world renowned.
