398. A 1923 Art Deco Patek Phillipe Diamond Watch

Patek Phillipe diamond and emerald platine wristwatch dates from 1923 and is marked on verso with "Patek Phillipe & Co, Geneva". It has Patek Phillipe movements, 18 jewels and eight movements. This beautiful watch has a mesh adjustable band which is also platine. The face is rectangular in shape with Arabic numbers and accented by two emeralds which are flanked by accent diamonds. A larger accent rose cut diamond is set in the winder. The serial number, 808520, is located on verso. Interior is marked "Platine" and numbers "601922" and has been repaired many times. In a letter from Patek Phillipe's director, this watch was said to be made in 1923 and sold to Gubelin & Co in July 1924. Face measures apprx 3/4" x 1-1/4" and band apprx 7".
