| 297. Another Set of Miscellaneous Flatware
This set of sterling silver flatware includes five dinner forks, two table spoons, two teaspoons and sixteen assorted coffee spoons. The dinner forks are hallmarked American silver on verso of shank. These have a simplistic design with delicate scrollwork at the top of the handle. Each fork has been engraved with an initial. The tablespoons have a more ornate pattern combining braidwork with delicate flowers. Spoons are engraved with the initial "H", C. 1899, these two spoons are hallmarked American silver. The teaspoons feature a fan and leaf design on the handle and are engraved with the initial "O." These spoons are also hallmarked American silver. The coffee spoons are divided into five unique patterns. One set has a floral design and is hallmarked American silver. Stamp on the back reads "PAT.APLD.FOR". Second set of coffee spoons corresponds with teaspoons and are engraved wtih the letter "S". Stamp on verso identifies the maker, R. Wallace and the date, 1835. The third set of spoons corresponds with the tablespoons. Engraved with the initials "E.A.W." Hallmarked American silver and dated 1899 on verso. Fourth set of spoons has a floral and vine design and are identified as "Oxford Silver Plate Co." on verso. The last set of silver coffee spoons has a scalloped design and the initials "M.R.B" engraved on the shank. The stamp on verso reads "Sterling, PAT. 03".
