This is probably a metal plate print, most likely a signed printer's proof for the book by Lynd Ward "Hot Countries". After a wood cut, possibly linocut on paper of seated Hawaiian woman, unframed, image size apprx 7" x 5", paper size apprx 12" x 9". Signed and dated lower left, 1935. African-American wood block engraver, Washington worked in printing houses in New York.
