"Mecech", vase impressed with a stylized geometric pattern, covered in a matte cream slip, signed in black Claude Conover "Mecech". Apprx 11"H x 17"W. Includes original plastic insert. Mr. Conover was the Ohio Arts Councils recipient of the Cleveland Arts Prize in 1983 and he was a member of the "Cleveland School" which was first used by Elrick Davis a 1928 article for the Cleveland Press, titled "Cleveland's Art Pioneers Have Put City in Front Rank in Creative Field."
