136. Pietro Santi Bartoli, (Italian 1635-1700)

This 18th century hand colored engraving by Bartoli was made after Roman temple paintings and has been professionally matted. Plate measures apprx 8" x 30", overall with full margins apprx 20-1/2" x 31-1/2". The image is a traditional Roman scene in which the figures play musical instruments, wear laurel wreaths and stand before fountains. It is unmarked with the exception of "LIV" in the upper right corner.
